I’m tinya, a poet from Iloilo, Philippines.

I write about womanhood, desire, pleasure and grief.

I dipped briefly into Communication Arts before reuniting with Poetry.

My work is influenced by Sandra Cisneros, Benilda Santos, Vicki Feaver, Warsan Shire, and E.E. Cummings. Obsessed with queer and women poet memoirs, precolonial histories of the world, winged eyeliner, and the being + wisdom of Ocean Vuong.

As a 90s kid, I’m also undeniably obsessed with telephones!!! I would telebabad¹ with my best friend but she passed away in 2014.

I write because words are my sustenance because I can’t talk to her anymore.
